What to expect?

You need at least 2 days to visit Machu Picchu and increase your chances of getting a last minute ticket.

Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu village)

The trip begins with the pick up at the hotel and transfer by bus to Ollantaytambo station, a 2 hour trip, then take the train to Machu Picchu town (Aguas Calientes), also 2 hours. Our staff will assist you upon arrival to buy tickets at the Ministry of Culture, after buying the entrance to Machupicchu we will approach the restaurant for lunch and then go to the hotel to rest and take the afternoon off in the town of Aguas Calientes. At 6:00 pm we will have dinner where we will meet with the guide to have the briefing about the visit to Machupicchu.

Day 2: Machupicchu – Ollantaytambo – Cusco

The day starts early, we have breakfast and walk for 10 minutes to the bus station to Machupicchu, the bus ride takes approximately 40 minutes, upon arrival we check in with our entrance ticket, then we have our guided tour for 2 hours in with the guide and 1 hour of free time to explore on your own and take the photos you want, at the end of the visit in Machupicchu, again we take the bus back to the town of Aguas Calientes, passing by our hotel and collect our personal things and we go to lunch.

Finishing our lunch we go to the train station that will return us to Ollantaytambo where our bus awaits us to return to Cusco, the bus leaves us in the Plaza de Armas.

This itinerary is referential and varies with respect to the time of your ticket you chose to enter Machu Picchu.
