Your destination is Inkaterra Hacienda Concepcion, an eco-luxury lodge nestled within a private reserve that borders the Tambopata National Reserve. Upon arrival, settle into your elegant wooden cabaña or room, built on stilts and designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding rainforest.

After check-in, enjoy a delicious à-la-carte lunch at the Casa Grande, a charming palm-thatched dining area that highlights the unique flavors of the Amazon with locally sourced ingredients.

Day
02

Lake Sandoval & Canopy Adventure

Begin your day early with a buffet breakfast starting at 05:30, perfect for adventurers eager to explore the Amazon at first light.

Your morning excursion takes you deep into the Tambopata National Reserve to visit the stunning Lake Sandoval, a tranquil oxbow lake accessible via a scenic rainforest trail. Along the path, marvel at the sunlight filtering through the dense canopy before boarding a hand-carved wooden canoe to glide silently across the mirror-like waters of the lake.

Lake Sandoval is a haven for wildlife lovers. Here, you may spot giant river otters, red howler monkeys, red-bellied macaws, black caimans, side-neck turtles, anacondas, and a variety of exotic birds — all set against a backdrop of picture-perfect palm trees.

Return to Inkaterra Hacienda Concepcion just in time for a relaxing à-la-carte lunch, served with a view of the surrounding rainforest.

In the afternoon, get ready for one of the lodge’s most thrilling experiences: the Inkaterra Canopy Walkway. This eco-engineered network of suspension bridges stretches across seven hanging bridges and eight treetop observation platforms, suspended high above the forest floor. Ascend a 138-foot (42-meter) tower, and as you reach the canopy, enjoy panoramic views of the lush green expanse. Keep your eyes peeled for toucans, trogons, monkeys, woodpeckers, and the elusive three-toed sloth.

As night falls, choose your own adventure:

  • Join our Rainforest by Night excursion, equipped with flashlights and guided by expert naturalists. As the jungle transforms once again, your senses will sharpen — listen for rustling leaves, track glowing eyes, and observe nocturnal creatures that only emerge under the cover of darkness.

  • Or, if you prefer tranquility, indulge in a rejuvenating session at the NUA Spa, a serene retreat set in the heart of the jungle, offering therapies that blend ancient techniques with Amazonian ingredients.

End the day with a gourmet à-la-carte dinner from 19:00, and let the rhythms of the rainforest serenade you into the evening.
