ATV Tour Maras and Moray
USD $25
What better way to explore the Sacred Valley than on an ATV bike?
We offer a thrilling journey created for adventurers like you to discover the Andean mountains of Cusco. We provide daily excursions to ride quad bikes and explore Moray and the Maras salt mines. To begin the day, we will pick you up at your Cusco hotel and drive you to our first location, Maras.
We’ll drive by Andean communities and the lovely city of Maras. This colonial city features intact homes and churches from the Spanish conquest, but it is also surrounded by traditional and rustic structures where the residents live and work in agriculture.
One of Moray’s biggest attractions are the massive natural holes in the ground surface that the Incas exploited to successfully cultivate Andean seeds. On our excursion, we will also visit the Maras salt mines, where locals continue to work with salt in the same way that their predecessors did.
Itinerary
01
Quad Biking in Cusco and visits to MORAY and to the MARAS – SALT MINES
Join this trip of riding quad bikes through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, which includes visits to two of the most important sites: Maras Salt Mines and Moray.
This trip leaves from Cusco and proceeds directly to our headquarters in Maras (about a 50-minute ride), where you will receive detailed training on how to properly operate the quad bikes as well as the equipment required for the excursion.
Once everyone in our party is ready, we begin our journey by riding through the roads of the holy Valley, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and snow-capped holy mountains, until we arrive at the Moray archeological site, where we will explore briefly with your guide within the ruins.
After the initial visit, we’ll keep driving the quad bikes and having fun until we come closer to the road that leads to the Salt Mines. For safety concerns, we’ll park the quads and take the bus to the Maras Salt Mines before returning to our quad bikes and continuing our journey back to the base.
This is a half-day excursion that may be completed in either the morning or afternoon.
For the morning slot, we will pick you up between 06:30 and 07:10 a.m., depending on the location of your hotel, and return to Cusco between 1 and 1:30 p.m.
For the afternoon slot, your collection time will be between 12:50 and 1:00 pm at our Willka Travel office, and we will return to Cusco about 7:30 pm.
