OPTION 1: Hydroelectric – Cusco

Is for the trekkers who attend the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu, with the end point at Aguas Calientes.

  • Pick up location – Hydroelectric Train Station
  • Departure time – 1:00pm to 2:00pm.  Please be at Pick up point at least 20 min .

OPTION 2: Soraypampa – Cusco

Is designed for trekkers who only trek from Soraypampa to Humantay Lagoon.

  • Soraypampa – Cusco:

  • Departure time – 12:00pm to 1:00p.m.

Cusco to Soraypampa by Bus

  • Departure Point: The journey begins in Cusco. a city well-known as the gateway to many of Peru’s incredible trekking routes. Our transportation service Included pick up from your accommodation in Cusco city. between 4:30 to 5:00 a.m.
  • Duration: The bus ride from Cusco to Soraypampa usually takes about 3-4 hours, covering a distance of approximately 120 kilometers (75 miles).

Route and Scenery:

  • Limatambo – Mollepata Valley: The route takes you through the picturesque limatambo and Mollepata Valley. offering breathtaking views of the Andes, charming villages, and extensive farmlands.
  • Mollepata: Our bus make a stop in Mollepata. a small town where trekkers often have breakfast and make final preparations for their trek. Once we arrive at the “Mollepata” town, we must purchase entrance tickets, which cost around 20 soles (in local currency). Each tourist must purchase their own entrance tickets for Laguna Humantay and Salkantay Park.

Soraypampa Road Conditions

      The road from Cusco to Mollepata is paved and in good condition. However, the final stretch from Mollepata to Soraypampa involves a dirt road. which can be           bumpy and narrow, especially during the rainy season.

  • Altitude and Environment: Soraypampa is situated at an altitude of about 3,900 meters (12,795 feet) above sea level. The area is surrounded by stunning snow-capped peaks, including the majestic Humantay and Salkantay Mountain.
